iWelcome, a Dutch provider of identity-as-a-service tools, has closed a Series A investment round. New backers Newion Investments and Filsa Capital join existing shareholder Cloud Ventures in the round. The funds will be used to increase the company’s development capability and to expand in the Netherlands and across Europe.

iWelcome’s cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) service allows organizations to securely manage employee, partner and customer credentials and access rights across internal, external and cloud applications. The platform is architected as a generic cloud service, but promises the security and integration requirements of enterprise customers. iWelcome’s service supports ‘bring your own device’ and ‘bring your own apps’ as well as various forms of authentication, and offers self-service and delegation functionality and a management console that can be accessed from any device.
