Technology from Ideas (TfI), a Dublin-based technology commercialization company, has received a non-disclosed amount of investment from 4th Level Ventures and is finalizing an agreement for investment with Enterprise Ireland. This startup funding will enable the company to source ideas from partnered universities in Ireland and then develop these into investment ready technologies for subsequent sale to industry.

Dick Lenehan of Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Up Unit (HPSU) said: “As an international traded services business, TfI have a unique business model that will complement the current commercialization initiatives underway by Enterprise Ireland and the university technology transfer offices. Their focus on creating high value, knowledge economy jobs coupled with their focus on technology development and intellectual property generation makes TfI an exciting addition to the country’s high-tech sector.”

Technology from Ideas (TfI) is a new Irish technology commercialization company partnered by key players in universities and industry. TfI locates unrealized ideas from university researchers, develops them into investment ready technologies, and sells them to customers worldwide for subsequent development into products. This is achieved through commercially focused development in its own laboratories and together with sales through established technology development company partners.
