Leeds University renews e-procurement deal with Science Warehouse

The University of Leeds, a major UK research university, has extended its agreement with Science Warehouse for the provision of its
e-procurement solution.

Science Warehouse is a leading provider of on-demand procurement and catalogue solutions to higher education, research and a growing number of other sectors.

Tim Brannon, Head of Procurement at Leeds University, said, “We have made substantial cash savings and efficiency improvements since we implemented Science Warehouse e-procurement 6 years ago. Looking at the alternatives currently available in the market it quickly became clear that Science Warehouse is the preferred solution for meeting the complex needs of a major research university such as Leeds.”

Under the contract renewal, the University will be implementing additional Science Warehouse products such as their custom DNA ordering module. Tim continued, “This unique new functionality provides a powerful tool for researchers and brings a complex area of spend under management. Science Warehouse’s commitment to product innovation means we are confident that the solution will deliver continual improvements in purchasing and generate yet more efficiencies and savings in future.”

Steve Kerridge, General Manager of Science Warehouse, said: “The University of Leeds is a world-class research university that was one of the very first in the UK to implement e-procurement. They have achieved strong user adoption and high levels of compliance across all spend categories – the hallmarks of successful e-procurement. We have enjoyed working closely with Leeds to date and look forward to a continued successful partnership.”
