Dutch Police Force implements Emexus SMS alert solution
Mid- and West Brabant police force warns for burglars via SMS

Mobile service provider Emexus develops an SMS warning system exclusively for Mid- en West Brabant police force. The SMS-alert warns people through the use of a message if there is a burglar active in their area. The system can also be used if a child is missing.

According to the police this system is unique in the Netherlands. The police corps is going to set up a pilot in an urban area with more the 35.000 inhabitants. If this pilot succeeds the corps wants to use this method in different areas. Citizens have to subscribe to make use of this new police service.

Frans van Hulle of Emexus: 'We are proud to welcome the police corps as one of our customers. Never before citizens have been warned through the use of cellular equipment. We have all the confidence that this pilot will be successful, because nearly everyone can be reached through SMS.'
