NextGenTel Holding ASA presents results for Q2-2005
NextGenTel increases its total broadband market

Norwegian broadband company NextGenTel has through strengthened sales and marketing activities increased the company's total market share in the broadband market during the second quarter of 2005. NextGenTel achieved a total of 120,800 active lines at the end of the quarter, a 17.4 % share of the total Norwegian DSL broadband market.

The company registered a 16 % organic growth of net new broadband lines in the market in Q2-2005, compared to a 14.8 % share of the growth in Q1-2005. Including the acquisition of PC Support Bredbånd AS, NextGenTel reached a market share of 17.4 % in the total Norwegian DSL market at the end of Q2-2005, an increase from 17.1 % at the end of Q1-2005.

'NextGenTel has increased its market share in a fast growing broadband market also in the second quarter, and has strengthened the Company's position as the clear number two in the Norwegian market, measured by number of lines,' says CEO Olav Stokke in NextGenTel.

'Moving forward, we will focus on further strengthening the Company's presence in the market as a full 'Triple Play' Operator, with integrated solutions based on Internet/Broadband, Broadband Telephony and Video/Television Services', says Stokke.

'NextGenTel now also take steps towards considering development of systems and platforms to enable solutions and offerings known as 'Quadruple Play', which could include full integration between fixed and mobile networks/solutions similar to what has been seen offered in other markets. Based on WiMax, of which NextGenTel is the largest licensee in Norway, and other wireless/mobile technologies, NextGenTel is well positioned for such a potentially strategic development,' says Olav Stokke.

'NextGenTel is at the moment considering a number of strategic possibilities to enhance and strengthen the Company's position in the broadband market, both by playing a major role in the future consolidation within broadband and the future telecommunications market in Norway, and assesses partnerships and other possible constellations related to other operators, both nationally and internationally,' Stokke adds.

Revenues in Q2-2005 increased to 146.6 mNOK, which was up 32 % from 111.2 mNOK in Q2-2004. EBITDA in Q2-2005 shows 34.8 mNOK compared to 31.7 mNOK in Q2-2004, a growth of 10 %.
