Artimi Expands its Board of Directors
Andrew Vought Joins Board of UWB Semiconductor Start-Up Artimi

Santa Clara, Calif. and Cambridge, UK – December 15, 2004 – Artimi Inc., a fabless semiconductor company developing Ultra Wideband (UWB) silicon solutions, has expanded its board of directors with the addition of broadband semiconductor industry veteran Andrew (Andy) Vought. Vought is currently CEO of BroadLight and brings experience in high-growth semiconductor companies and finance to support the company’s continued growth.

“Andy is an experienced executive with particular strength in financial and operational management within the semiconductor industry,” said Hermann Hauser, director of Amadeus Capital Partners and director of Artimi. “We are delighted to have Andy join Artimi’s board of directors and share his strategic insight and financing experience as we continue on our path of growth.”

With more than 25 years of semiconductor and technology management experience, Vought previously served in the Office of the President at GlobespanVirata, later merged into Conexant Corp. Vought anchored the US activities of Virata from 1996, as it grew to $170M revenues culminating in the 2001 merger with Globespan. Responsibilities included fabless IC operations, raising $670M in three private and two public investment rounds, and five acquisitions. Prior to Virata, he led the Management Buy Out of Micro Power Systems, and held operations and financial management positions at Diasonics, Texas Instruments Europe, and GE.

Andrew Vought holds a B.S. and B.A. (cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
