EUREKA Project Results in a Strategic Alliance

Softeam, a leading specialist in new software architectures and Neoxen Systems, a specialist in information management, signed a strategic partnership agreement to cross-sell their team-enabled Process Modeling Tools worldwide.

“Our customers want a single point of access to their live project data, including process models. Role-based views with up-to-date information have become a fundamental requirement. This is exactly what Neoxen Visual Modus provides. It extends our ProCube modeling solution to better serve our corporate customers.” said Philippe Desfray, Vice President of R&D at Softeam. “Our global distribution agreement is natural continuum to our joint two-year EUREKA project. By integrating the product portfolios we are strengthening our market position, especially in North America and Asia.”

“Out-of-the-box connectivity to collaboration systems, such as Microsoft SharePoint, takes Software Process Modeling from small group specialty to corporate-wide asset.” says Esa Tervo, CEO at Neoxen ystems. “ProCube together with our process components and Neoxen Visual Modus will give customers immediate savings. Managed Process Tailoring and efficient reuse of project best practices can cut upfront costs associated with process improvement up to 40%.”

The ProCube® Tools Solution suite provides a concrete and pragmatic answer to the question of how best to manage software development by establishing a firm relationship between process modeling and IT project management. It supports the user in improving his development procedures and facilitating their implementation, thus controlling the quality of the developments through the software process.

ProCube® is developed in French-Finnish EUREKA project, “E! 3320 PRO3”. The product suite is created together with European universities and research centers and with strong support from international technology partners, such as Microsoft. The project is partially funded by the French and Finnish National Technology Agencies, ANVAR and TEKES. ProCube will be commercially available by the end of Q3 2006.
