Symfo launches new language for eDiary product

Boston, MA — September 25, 2006 — Symfo, a leading provider of electronic patient reported outcome (ePRO) solutions for clinical trials, announced today that its SymQuest eDiary is now available in the Hebrew language.

“With so many clinical trials taking place today on a global level, it is important to offer customers additional language support,” said Serge Bodart, Chief Executive Officer of Symfo. “By now being able to offer the Hebrew language on top of our 17 other languages on our SymQuest product, we are giving our clients the possibility to utilize more and more sites and patients worldwide. Couple this with our guaranteed data transmission technology, and the possibilities are pretty exciting indeed.”

The SymQuest is Symfo’s Palm-based electronic patient diary, and is an ideal tool for capturing Quality of Life assessments and daily diary recording for patients in real time.

The SymQuest was recently deployed in a large, multinational, multilingual clinical trial taking place in 12 different countries around the globe. Thanks to Symfo’s easy-to-use patient diary and reliable IDR system for sending data, their client is on track for a faster database lock time than previously achieved with other vendors.

Symfo is currently working on different projects in Eastern Europe and Asia that will add even more language capability.

Symfo is an international organization specializing in electronic patient diary solutions, including the SymPro electronic patient diary, the SymQuest Palm-based diary and the SymVoice IVR. They are all simple to use and affordable solutions enabling study participants to easily implement electronic patient diaries in all phases of clinical trials and post-marketing studies.

Symfo’s FDA-compliant handheld devices (SymPro & SymQuest) utilize Symfo’s unique IDR system (Interactive Diary Response) – providing all the advantages of a handheld device (easy to carry, fits in your pocket) combined with simple, reliable phone-based data transfer. Symfo’s IDR system guarantees 100% successful transmission of patient data – and works anywhere in the world.
