DeepStream® Technologies Expands Management Team
DeepStream® Technologies Limited Expands Management Team with Two More Senior Appointments

North Wales, BANGOR – March 2006 DeepStream Technologies, a pioneer embedded intelligent sensors for remote service enablement has expanded the management team with the appointment of Jonathan Luke as vice president of engineering and David Hall as business development manager, switchgear.

The announcement comes only weeks after the appointment of Dr Richard Parry-Jones CBE, Ford’s chief technical officer, global product development and group vice president to non-executive chairman at DeepStream Technologies.

DeepStream’s 3D digital sensor technology enables energy metering to be embedded in protection devices, allowing itemised billing down to equipment and circuit level, giving building owners, energy and facility managers greater visibility of their energy usage and the ability to save both money and resources.

Jonathan Luke joins DeepStream Technologies from International Rectifier, the world leader in power management technology. With over $1 billion in annual revenue and just under 6000 employees in twenty countries, Jonathan led a team of 40 test, product and process engineers and was responsible for introducing new products and managing improvements in process performance and product yields.

As vice president of engineering at DeepStream, Jonathan is responsible for the development and delivery of the company’s products managing Design, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations and the management of client projects.

“Digital 3D sensor technology will revolutionise electrical protection devices and electrical appliances to make them more intelligent, with the potential to change how we live, work and use energy for the better. DeepStream’s automated intelligence-led plant is also helping regenerate manufacturing in the UK and I’m looking forward to playing a key part in the design and production process,” said Jonathan Luke, vice president of engineering at DeepStream Technologies.

David Hall has joined DeepStream Technologies as business development manager for switchgear, after eight years at Schneider Electric Ltd. Working in a number of customer facing roles led to the responsibility of segment marketing manager, enabling him to gain a holistic understanding of power distribution and control products, their applications and customer markets.

'Working with Schneider was a great professional opportunity and I am now delighted to join another innovative company like DeepStream who are in the process of transforming the Switchgear Industry with new digital technologies.' said David Hall, business development manager for switchgear at DeepStream Technologies.

Mark Crosier, chief executive officer, DeepStream Technologies, said: “We welcome Jonathan and David to DeepStream, who offer us a wealth of experience, coming from world leading organisations. They will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goal of becoming a global provider of intelligent digital sensor technology”.

DeepStream’s global potential and technology has attracted both public and private sector funding to the tune of £10 million so far from The Welsh Development Agency, HSBC and the venture capitalist, Doughty Hanson. The company is looking for second round funding at present to expand further into Europe.
