GPXS aqcuires Galty Technologies - Expanding BlackBerry Application depth and reach


Mountain View, United States / Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Limerick, Ireland - 26th of January 2006 GPXS, Europe's fastest growing solution and support provider for Research In Motion 's (RIM ) BlackBerry , and Galty Technologies, a Limerick, Ireland based developer of innovative BlackBerry applications, announced today that GPXS has agreed to acquire Galty Technologies for an undisclosed consideration of cash and GPXS stock. This acquisition unites two of Europe's most successful BlackBerry Alliance Members.
The acquisition of Galty will expand the GPXS Condor Mobile Applications suite, its BlackBerry applications portfolio for enterprises. And, the addition of the Galty product development team will help GPXS accelerate product development to meet the growing demand for its mobile productivity products. Galty benefits from GPXS extensive market reach and
sales power. Galty will act as GPXS Ireland and will continue to stay focussed on producing high value BlackBerry productivity applications.
The acquisition of Galty provides GPXS with a rich set of applications to quickly expand our BlackBerry applications portfolio for our customers and partners, said Jerome Mol, CEO of GPXS. This is the first step in our strategy to consolidate the market of BlackBerry software and services, and a key component in accelerating time-to-market for GPXS.
The integration of GPXS' and Galty's complementary businesses will provide significant benefit to our customers, said Kieran O'Farrell, Managing Director of Galty Technologies. GPXS extensive customer base and professional marketing and sales team will quickly expand the market for our products and give us access to new markets, he concluded.
